Snowy memories

Time to get crackin'!

So this morning, I woke up to... god knows how much snow! But I haven't seen this much snow since I moved away from Wisconsin a year and a half ago and it was super exciting! Definately brought up some good memories. But then... I was kindly reminded with what a drag it is to get around on the day after a blizzard~(my poor running shoes are now drying by the radiator). I started off the day with one of my usual breakfasts...

What is that hot mess? It's total deliciousness. Don't beleive me? haha you wouldn't judge a book by a cover(ok we all do sometimes) so don't knock my breakfast concoction until you've tasted it! What it actually is a morning star veggie burger zapped in the microwave on top of 3/4 cups fluffed egg beaters mixed with organic baby spinace. Hotsauce and red pepper flakes for a kick start to the day~ So healthy and sooo good. only 200 calories and 30 grams of protein with some healthy fats from the veggie burger to boot.

Afterwards I lounged around the house a little trying to do some last minute cleaning because my family is arriving later today and I'm super excited. I haven't seen them since summer! Cheerleading practice was also cancelled... which is a bummer because the team could really use the practice time. Our stunts need to start sticking!(no more slacking please girls :P). Then I had a preworkout snack of what I like to call bodybuilder sludge. Half cup of greek yogurt, half cup of cottage cheese and half a scoop of strawberry protein powder with a dash of stevia. It tastes just like strawberry vanilla yogurt~ super sweet and creamy... and you guessed it! healthy! 200 cals 35 grams of protein, probiotics and calcium included! Heading out to the gym ro do biceps, triceps, and abs~ then picking up a surprise for the family.

My name is Mj and I am a business student studying in NYC. My love for food is only overshadowed by the desires of being fit and healthy. Sadly those two don't go hand in hand as often as preferred and is also often relatively expensive. Join me as I try to balance the two while living it up on a student budget!
